In-game advertising comes to a new level

Caffeinated Games has announced the launch of buytexels.com, a new website that allows anyone to buy advertising space within their upcoming games.
The scheme allows users to purchase any amount of texels (a unit of texture space) they wish out of the 904,800 available at a cost of /texel. The image provided will then feature in-game.
It all reminds us of the million pixel campaigns spread across the web, but do we really want to see it in video games?
Caffeinated Games is an independent games company founded by former SOCOM and Lord of the Rings developers who are currently working on FarmLands, a next-gen board and collectible card game.
