Facebook Page Case Study: Audi

Audi is one of the latest brands to use their Facebook Page to engage fans. Their latest effort is the “Audi Design Challenge”, in which Audi is calling for Facebook Fans to tell Audi what they’d like to see in the car of the future. Audi will use this feedback as a part of their participation in the LA auto show, where auto designers are competing to design a youth-oriented concept car for 2030. You can watch the video below: As you can see, Audi has created a custom tab as a landing page for the deisgn challenge. This custom area links directly to their Facebook Page discussion forums, which are filled with topics related to the concept car design challenge. I’ll be interested to see how vocal their Facebook Fan community is, and how they really integrate that feedback into the design. In theory, this is a great example of encouraging participation through Facebook fan community, instead of just blasting out marketing messages.
